Known widely as Dobbo, Paul initially trained in Whanganui as a graphic designer and his career has evolved by always seeking to answer a single question... why will this work? This led to his own design and marketing business at 23 and into agency life at 33. As a BTL specialist, he rose to Executive Creative Director in a Trans-tasman role before pivoting into planning and strategy. He has been integral to agency transformation and success throughout. His ability to synthesise data and apply insight to creative solutions in terms of structure and purpose is remarkable. Combined with a practical, commercial understanding his FMCG work for both suppliers and retailers, has earned much praise. Paul has worked extensively with brands across Fonterra, Sanitarium, DB Breweries, Frucor Suntory, Pernod Ricard, Jacob Douwe Egberts (JDE), George Weston Foods, and Foodstuffs NZ, to name just a few.
Beginning in mid-2020 Shopper Expertise and Creative Strategy are available on a project and consulting basis. As an independent service we are not aligned to individual agencies, brands, media or retailers and approach every challenge agnostically, seeking the solution that is right for the client, their most valuable audiences, and their business.
